640 480 video collective was founded in 2001 with 8 members of the Visual Studies Program at the University of Toronto. Its goal was to encourage and support the emerging artist by providing opportunities to view, produce, contribute, and create video art. Since its conception, 640 480 has evolved into a recognized and award-winning entity. Please visit www.640480.com for more information. Also, please note that Edmond is no longer a member of the core group of artists that make up 640480.

University of Toronto, Thesis Exhibition
![]()
In march of 2002, students from the Visual Studies Thesis Program at the University of Toronto opened the show ‘Transcript’ at a temporary art space. The goal of the thesis show was to: create work, find a space, provide promotional materials, and simply, put on a professional art show, starting from scratch. In the end, 16 students worked together to fundraise for and set up a temporary art space in the vacant floor of a commercial building. The result was a tremendously successful and encouraging show that combined stimulating artwork from young emerging artists in an interesting and stimulating environment.

In March of 2003, a proposal was made to a Washington DC area developer to use the front windows of a retail space before or during renovations for the purpose of displaying art. Fresh out of the University of Toronto, and coming off of a small career of creating installations and shows in alternative art spaces with the video crew 640 480 (www.640480.com), Edmond was hot on the idea of displaying art in more accessible surroundings.
The result of this proposal led to the f o ‘ s h o ‘ gallery space in the historic Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC. Located on Wisconsin Ave, the window space was rich in both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Originally scheduled for a three week run, the window lasted 5 months with as many installations during that time. At the end of its run, the space was eventually taking over by the developers and renovated into a new retail space.
